Waqf Amendment Bill Cleared By JPC With 14 Changes; Opposition's Defeated In Committee Voting

A Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) on Monday cleared the hyped Waqf Amendment Bill with 14 changes to the draft that was tabled in the Lok Sabha during the monsoon session last year.

Pakistan, on the other hand, are behind India in second place, with eight points to their name, and also beat hosts China 5-1 in their most recent fixture.

AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Monday released the party's manifesto with 15 guarantees for the Delhi residents ahead of the Assembly polls there. Kejriwal and other AAP leaders addressing the crowd stated that the term 'guarantee' was used by their party in 2020 for the first time in Indian elections.

Among the key promises AAP guaranteed include jobs, financial support for women, cleaning polluted Yamuna River, scholarships for SC and ST students to study abroad.

Colombian President Gustavo Petro on Sunday ordered an increase of import tariffs on U.S. goods in retaliation to a similar order announced hours earlier by President Donald Trump.
